CONS OF APP BASED WALKERS

 

• Many reports of pets lost or killed while in the care of their walkers.

 

• Several complaints of dog fights that result in medical bills or death.

 

• Walkers are NOT hired based on experience, only on ability to pass background check.  Anyone could join.  How do you know they are reliable and trustworthy?

 

• Rover does NOT have a vetting process, training, or any requirements whatsoever for their pet sitters. Anyone and everyone who wants to be a “pet sitter” can do so.

 

• If your walker has problems they, can’t communicate directly with you.  They must call customer service to try to remedy issue.  Often, customer service isn’t available and they get a automated recording. 

 

• May not be able to meet the walker prior to first visit.

 

• Much less personal attention

 

• Can’t receive Instagram posts of live photos.
